From modest beginnings to the global stage, Mohasseb is DJ/electronic music producer who launched his music career in the early 2000s as a bedroom DJ and quickly rose to become Cairo’s go-to artist for the city’s top venues and festivals. He’s been dominating the electronic music scene since 2009 and continues to accelerate on a local, regional, and international scale.
He soon earned a spot as one of Cairo Jazz Club’s main headliners—a role he has held for 13 years, where his solo night has been one of the longest standing and most successful signature nights at the venue. Over the years, he has become a regular fixture at some of Egypt’s most iconic spots, including Pacha Sharm El Sheikh, Space Sharm, Aurora El Gouna, Megumi Gouna, and Sachi in both Cairo and the North Coast. He’s also been a consistent presence at Plus, Ulter events, and the celebrated Lemon Tree and Rituals gatherings, including their North Coast festivals. His festival appearances include Egypt’s largest, such as Family and Friends and Theatre of Dreams.Known for his fresh spin on melodic techno, Mohasseb began his international journey in 2015 with a debut performance in Greece, which paved the way for gigs across the globe.
